The Geocaching Capital of Canada GeoTour is a collection of geocaches spread across the breadth of the 7 hamlets that make up the Geocaching Capital of Canada.

Created in May 2015 and awarded over 2000 Favourite Points in the first 3 months, this GeoTour is now number one in Canada!  Originally 100 caches, in celebration of Canada's 150th Anniversary, the GeoTour will be increasing to 150 caches in 2017.  
 
The Municipality of Highlands East is Yours to Explore so come and let this unique collection of caches take you on an exploration of pristine lakes, scenic locations, and historical sites. Each family-friendly cache shares a giggle, an interesting fact or a breath-taking location. 

A downloadable passport helps you to keep track of your finds and milestone rewards will keep you coming back until you've found all 100 geocaches!

If you are a seasoned Geocacher, download the entire Geocaching Capital of Canada GeoTour into your GPS at coord.info/GT5D.

When using the Geocaching app, search for GeoTour GT5D.

If you are new to the game we'll get you started. Drop by the Visitor Information Centre in Wilberforce for a 15-minute GeoTour tutorial, a map showing all the cache locations, a binder listing the cache details and a GPS, preloaded with coordinates. (GPS rental is just $5/day!)

FIRST...

...download the entire Geocaching Capital of Canada GeoTour into your GPS by
visiting: coord.info/GT5D

And just to make life even easier, here is a map of the area showing the locations of caches (the map is 11" x 17". so it will print on 2 sheets of letter size paper): GCC GeoTour Map

NEXT...

...you’ll need a passport. Download and print one off by clicking here. (Be sure to print it in landscape orientation.)

Or, pick one up at any one of these locations within the Geocaching Capital of Canada:

NOW...

...hunt for all those caches.  Some are whimsical, some are wacky.  Some will have you scratching your head, while others will double you over in laughter. Be sure to read the descriptions for each cache they often contain valuable instructions and information, such as the hours that Cache #83, Check It Out is available.  Happy Geocaching!

NOTE...

...each cache will have a number and a code word unique to that cache.  Record this number and code word in your passport.

ONCE...

...you’ve found 25 caches, pick up your FREE GeoTour Achievement Certificate and claim your first sticker.

THEN...

...add additional stickers for your 50th and 75th finds.  Proudly claim your red ribbon at 100 GeoTour caches found!  Your completed GeoTour Achievement Certificate can be framed and displayed as an awesome souvenir. 

FINALLY...

...if you're having too much fun to stop, find the final 50 caches to complete the full 150 caches of the GeoTour and claim your Bonus Reward!

Extra BONUS...

...at each milestone (25, 50, 75, 100) you earn a ballot for the draw to win The Geocaching Capital of Canada GeoTour annual GRAND PRIZE: A free Weekend Stay at Tamarack Lodge.  (Draw to be held on the GeoTour's anniversary event, May 6th 2017.)  After May 6th, ballots will go into the draw for next year's weekend getaway at 40 Winks in Wilberforce.
